As a unit of the Thomas Cook Group, Öger Tours does not disclose revenue or booking figures. But managing director Songül Göktas-Rosati made clear at the summer 2018 programme presentation that she was satisfied with the current business year despite challenges with Turkey, its dominant destination, and is optimistic about next year.

“The current good advance bookings for the summer allow us to look ahead optimistically to the coming year for Turkey,” she said. This year, customer satisfaction has improved and the recommendation rate for Öger Tours’ Turkey programme lies at a high 93% on average, she pointed out.

In addition, Egypt played a very positive role for the tour operator this year. “The country is experiencing a great comeback and at present we have high double-digit growth rates,” Göktas-Rosati commented.

For summer 2018, Öger Tours will expand flight capacity to Turkey by 20%, including new full-charters from Berlin and Baden-Baden to the Turkish Riviera. There are up to 500 weekly flights from 20 German airports to Antalya and 110 to Izmir, while the flight programme to Bodrum, Dalaman and Gazipasa will remain stable. In addition, the Egypt programme will be doubled to 160 weekly flights.

The Thomas Cook brand will keep prices stable for Turkey, enabling the destination to offer “excellent value for money”, as well as for Egypt, Tunisia and Bulgaria next summer. New products include the group’s 24-hour satisfaction promise, the ‘My Room’ hotel room booking option, along with more boutique hotels in Turkey, private transfers and personal guides for excursions.
