ITS gets dynamic

Rewe’s mainstream tour operator ITS is jumping on the dynamic production bandwagon with a new product, ‘ITS Indi’, for individual tourists.

The Cologne-based tour operator is now offering combinations of 1,500 brochure hotels in 100 destinations with flights at the latest daily rates in all German tourism booking platforms. The product is targeted at customers who book at short notice and want flexible departure dates and length of stay. The tour operator hopes to generate about 10% of its bookings through the new ITS Indi product this year.

“More and more customers want to combine flights and hotel individually and benefit from the latest daily rates,” explained Rewe Touristik’s sales and marketing chief Ralph Schiller. “We have successfully targeted this trend with Tjaereborg Indi since 2008. With ITS Indi we want to make our largest tour operator with the highest revenues more flexible and gradually expand the offering.”

The move follows the successful launch of ‘Tjaereborg Indi’, offering flexible products from the Rewe budget tour operator, in 2008. The budget brand has “a high single-digit” bookings increase and could generate 30% - 40% of its bookings through dynamic holiday products this year, according to Schiller.
