Lufthansa’s budget subsidiary Germanwings is launching more summertime flights to Mediterranean destinations.
The airline, which operates a fleet of 30 A319s on domestic and European city routes, has gradually been expanding its holiday routes in recent years.
For summer 2012, it is launching four weekly flights from Berlin to Rijeka in Croatia and will extend its flights to Pula until August. In Dortmund the airline is increasing its capacity to Croatia by 50% and to Majorca by 20%.
Germanwings will add more North African destinations with the start of weekly flights from Cologne to Casablanca and to Tangiers in June. It already flies to Nador and Tunis.
