The well-known Blau Punta Reina Resort regained top spot as the most popular Spanish hotel for German holidaymakers in early January while budget rival THB Felip Class flew out of the top ten, according to the latest fvw Hotelometer ranking.
After a head-to-head rivalry in November and December, the Blau Punta Reina took over as number one in the fortnight from December 26 to January 8. The low-budget Felip Class, with an average price of just €234, had topped the Spain ranking in the previous fortnight but crashed out of the entire top ten listing in the latest ranking.
Second was the popular Lopesan Costa Meloneras followed by the Sotavento Beach Club, both located on Gran Canaria. The Iberostar Pinos Park on Majorca, which entered the top ten in sixth place, also generated good interest.

It is based on all enquiries in the Traveltainment reservations system used by German travel agents and online booking engines. The data, supplied by IT company TrevoTrend, is split into different categories (overall, families, couples, singles and star ratings).
