Alltours will pay its 490 employees about €1 million in bonuses after a successful 2011, double the previous year’s figure.
The German tour operator’s owner Willi Verhuven said that 2011 had been “very demanding” for employees but the revenues had grown double-digit and the company had achieved “a very good financial result”. The 2011 results will be announced in the next few weeks.
“We have paid out bonuses to staff every year, even in years when the industry declined and had falling revenues. As we have made a profit every year, our employees were entitled to special payments. That distinguishes us from many other companies,” Verhuven commented.
Alltours pays a performance-related bonus to staff in addition to 13.5 ‘monthly’ salaries per year and a May bonus of €150, and pays a minimum annual salary of €25,500.
